Classroom Behavior Policy

 rules

Written below is the classroom behavior policy for individual students in Miss Joannides’ 4th grade classroom.

  • All students begin each day on a green card.
  • If a student misbehaves or breaks a classroom rule he/she flips his/her card to yellow and misses 5 minutes of recess.
  • If the student continues to misbehave or breaks a classroom rule he/she flips his/her card to orange and misses 10 minutes of recess.
  • If the student continues to misbehave or breaks a classroom rule he/she flips his/her card to red and is written up and will be sent to the principal’s office and you will be contacted.
  • If a student goes an entire week being on the green card he/she will be rewarded with the following options (lunch with the teacher, extra computer time, or he/she can choose a couple pencils or grips from the reward drawer).
 books

Written below is the classroom reward policy for the entire class.

  • Each time the whole class is on task, well mannered, being responsible and respectful the teacher will give the class a medal.
  • These medals are hung in the classroom for everyone to see.
  • Once we reach 15 medals the classroom can vote for a reward such as eating lunch in the classroom, 10 minutes of extra recess, or a night of no homework for everyone.
